For the first time in over two decades, Angel Rodríguez-Díaz’s iconic triptychLa Malinche, La Virgen de Guadalupe, and La Llorona — is reunited and on view at SAMA. This powerful series explores themes of identity, femininity, cultural mythology, and the reclamation of divine imagery through a contemporary lens.

Originally commissioned in 1999 for a San Antonio performance of The Hungry Woman: A Mexican Medea, this exhibit offers a rare opportunity to engage with Rodríguez-Díaz’s bold visual storytelling and social commentary in a unified setting.
